Divorce
Divorce is not the dirty word it used to be. Many couples decide to end
their marriage when they grow too far in incompatible directions or begin
to want very different things out of life.
Elizabeth Taylor -- with her eight husbands -- is an extreme example of
how breaking up can lead to new beginnings.
Princess Diana, after years of trying to make her marriage work,
finally realized that she would be better off on her own than in a bad
partnership.
Yoko Ono, a famous second wife, shows us that a breakup is not the end of
the world. John Lennon found new love and happiness with her after a
divorce from his first wife.
While divorce is a traumatic process for most of us, it does provide a
sense of closure that other breakups may not have. The final moment marks
your transition into the next stage of your life -- a time of healing and
then a readiness for a new beginning.
